Case: Rebuilding a weekly review after six months of scattered notes
Client: Lan P., trades VN30 and selected US tech equities on daily charts
Session: Trade Journal Workshop followed by two Chart Review consultations
Lan arrived with screenshots saved in a phone album and half-filled spreadsheet rows dating back to January. During the workshop she migrated to the SparkWork bound workbook, filling in MACD line position, histogram direction, and a one-sentence entry thesis for each trade.
In the first consultation we reviewed her worst week — three entries on MACD crosses that occurred below the zero line during a broader downtrend. Her journal had recorded the cross but not the zero-line context. We added a checkbox field for "above/below zero" to her template.
After six weeks Lan reported fewer impulsive entries on the 1-hour chart. She still takes losses, but her journal now shows a clear MACD snapshot at each decision point, which made our second consultation far more productive than the first.
